What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Success Manager position at Rec Gen?
Business Growth Manager | Boston, MA (On-Site)
About the Company
Series Seed B2B engagement platform helping companies turn demand into revenue. The product combines AI, data, and GTM strategy to help revenue teams engage the right accounts and convert pipeline into customers. This is one of the most critical early hires being made.
The Role
This is not a traditional CS role. You’ll be the company’s trusted advisor to customers: part consultant, part growth strategist, part partner. You own the full post-sale relationship, ensuring customers get maximum value from the platform, guiding them on B2B GTM best practices, and turning customer success into a growth engine. You’ll also carry direct pipeline responsibility through referrals, expansions, and customer advocacy.
What You’ll Own
- Customer Advisory: Be the strategic advisor customers rely on. Build tailored playbooks and help them drive real results.
- Adoption & Insights: Own onboarding and time-to-value. Deliver business reviews and data-driven insights that quantify impact on pipeline and revenue.
- Pipeline & Expansion: Generate referrals, co-create case studies, identify expansion opportunities, and partner with Sales to turn customers into the company’s best growth channel.
- Voice of the Customer: Synthesize feedback for product and leadership. Influence the roadmap and help build scalable programs across the customer base.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years in B2B GTM roles (RevOps, Marketing Ops, Sales, or Customer Success) at a company selling B2B GTM solutions.
- Deep understanding of how go-to-market teams operate and the tools and workflows that power them.
- Track record owning customer relationships and driving measurable outcomes (retention, expansion, pipeline influence).
- Strong commercial instinct with a builder mentality.
Bonus: experience at an early-stage B2B startup where you built the function from scratch.
