The Opportunity: Test Engineer
As a Test Engineer at Realityworks, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our innovative electro‑mechanical products perform flawlessly and meet the highest quality standards. You’ll own the testing strategy from the ground up—designing, adapting, and executing test plans that tackle the unique challenges of each new product.
Working side‑by‑side with cross‑functional teams, managers, and company leadership, you’ll help drive successful product launches across our growing portfolio. Beyond testing, you’ll be a key contributor on the Electrical and Testing Team—helping prioritize work, support team growth, and keep projects moving forward efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and maintains a cohesive, forward-looking testing strategy; establishes policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work
- Leads day-to-day testing efforts across multiple projects, ensuring alignment and coordination of overall testing activities
- Ensures all products tested by the team consistently meet or exceed company quality standards
- Prepares and delivers test status reports for active projects, providing visibility into progress and issues
- Analyzes requirements, technologies, and resources to assess project feasibility, including preliminary schedules and budget estimates
- Verifies that products comply with applicable regulatory requirements for domestic and key international markets
- Administers and utilizes testing tools, including defect tracking systems, test case management platforms, and automation tools
- Collaborates with project managers to coordinate testing on large, cross-functional projects
- Manages third-party business partners, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring timely, budget-compliant delivery of testing work
- Stays current with emerging technologies and trends relevant to company operations, evaluating the capabilities and limitations of available tools
- Performs other additional duties as assigned or required
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant technical field; or equivalent combination of education and directly-related experience
- 5 years of relevant technical/development/integration experience
- Experience with electronics, mechanical, firmware and/or software testing and troubleshooting
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with testing and documentation of consumer product regulatory requirements
- Experience with risk assessment and risk management
- Experience using test case management and defect tracking tools
- Experience testing on Windows, MAC, mobile, and Servers
- Independent, self-motivated individual with demonstrated success in leading results-driven, high performing teams
- Experienced in building, troubleshooting, and repairing printed circuit board assemblies, including lead-free hand soldering
- Project management experience with proven ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple deadlines
Work Location
- Realityworks is headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is a fully onsite position.
Travel Requirements
- Occasional (<10%) travel as need to events or conferences
