Location: Minneapolis Metro Area (Onsite)

We're partnering with an innovative organization developing highly technical software solutions in a regulated industry. They are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges while helping establish strong development processes and documentation standards.

This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in environments where software quality, system reliability, and compliance are equally important. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build products that require rigorous engineering practices, traceability, and validation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and enhance software applications that support sophisticated hardware and software ecosystems
• Convert business and technical needs into well-defined system and software requirements
• Create and maintain technical design artifacts and engineering documentation
• Support validation and testing activities to ensure product quality and performance
• Participate in risk assessment and mitigation efforts throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with quality, product, and engineering stakeholders to prepare software releases
• Review existing processes and documentation frameworks, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Mentor team members on best practices related to documentation, requirements management, and software quality
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and troubleshooting efforts across complex systems

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of professional software development experience
• Experience working within heavily regulated or compliance-driven industries
• Strong development experience with C# and Python
• Proven ability to work across interconnected enterprise or embedded systems
• Excellent analytical and debugging capabilities
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience balancing hands-on development with documentation ownership

Nice to Have

• Experience with software lifecycle standards, quality frameworks, or risk management processes
• Background supporting internal or external audits
• Exposure to requirements traceability and validation methodologies
• Experience creating technical architecture or design specifications
• History of driving engineering process improvements
• Prior mentoring or technical leadership experience
