Senior Mechanical Engineer

A growing life sciences organization is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering operations within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of critical production equipment while driving continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, operations, quality, and R&D functions.

This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on facility performance, equipment reliability, process optimization, and future expansion projects while working in an environment that supports products ultimately reaching patients.

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team while managing project priorities and departmental objectives.
• Oversee equipment troubleshooting, root cause investigations, preventive maintenance, calibrations, qualifications, and validation activities.
• Drive capital projects involving facility upgrades, equipment improvements, and capacity expansion initiatives.
• Partner closely with Operations, Quality, and R&D teams to support production goals and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP requirements, quality systems, and regulatory expectations while supporting audits and inspections.-
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and operational excellence. -
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• 10 years of engineering experience within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience managing technical or engineering teams.
• Proven experience leading equipment qualification, process validation, change control, and capital improvement projects.
• Strong knowledge of equipment reliability, operational excellence, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
