We are seeking an energetic and motivated Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold an active Texas Real Estate License (preferred) or have leasing experience with a strong desire to obtain one. The company will reimburse licensing costs for the right candidate.
This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Market and advertise rental properties using online listings, social media, and signage to attract qualified tenants.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective tenants via phone, email, or text.
- Schedule and conduct property tours, showcasing homes and highlighting their features (must be licensed to show properties).
- Ensure each property is clean, staged, and move-in ready before showings.
- Collect and review rental applications, perform background and credit checks, verify income, and confirm rental history.
- Prepare and explain lease agreements, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including detailed inspections, documentation, and key exchanges.
- Provide a personal and professional experience for tenants throughout the leasing process.
- Maintain accurate records of showings, applications, leases, and communications in property management systems.
- Stay informed about local rental market conditions and adjust listings or marketing strategies as needed.
- Keep the office and work areas clean, professional, and welcoming.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual Preferred, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or real estate/property management certifications are a plus.
- Real Estate License Preferred but not required
- Sales-oriented mindset with strong communication and marketing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Professional, personable, and customer-service focused.
- Basic computer skills; experience with property management software preferred.
- Team player, Ability to work on a team.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws; leasing agent licensing where required by state law.
