Project Manager – Demolition & Environmental Construction
Our client is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to lead complex demolition and environmental construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for the planning, execution, and oversight of demolition-related scopes, including selective demolition, abatement coordination, and other high-risk construction activities. The position requires a strong working knowledge of environmental regulations, demolition methodologies, and field operations, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of construction project management experience, with a proven background in demolition, abatement, or environmental services. Compensation is competitive and aligned with experience and demonstrated performance.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage demolition and environmental construction projects from proposal development through final closeout
- Interpret demolition drawings, environmental regulations, safety requirements, and technical specifications
- Develop detailed demolition scopes of work, project budgets, and schedules
- Prepare and review preconstruction submittals, work plans, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate labor crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material logistics specific to demolition operations
- Oversee day-to-day field execution, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
- Monitor project costs, billing, change orders, and required reporting
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
- Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent project performance
- Collaborate with internal operations, safety, and estimating teams to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred
- 3–5 years of experience managing demolition, abatement, or environmental construction projects
- Strong understanding of demolition sequencing, selective demolition, and high-risk scopes
- Working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to demolition and abatement
- Experience managing multiple active projects with overlapping schedules and deadlines
- Proven ability to lead field teams and coordinate subcontractors
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Estimating and cost control experience related to demolition scopes is a plus
- Established relationships with general contractors and construction partners preferred
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
