Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician, reporting to the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and under the supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist, assists in the non-discretionary tasks of preparing and dispensing medications, as well as other duties as assigned within their scope of practice. Pay Range Minimum $25.46 Midpoint $33.73 Maximum $42.01 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Qualifications: Required: Six weeks of Pharmacy externship training OR two years inpatient/acute care Pharmacy experience Graduated from an ASHP accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program and a minimum of 240 hours of externship, OR two years of inpatient hospital experience with a state license Pharmacy Tech Licensure Preferred: Two years inpatient pediatric Pharmacy experience Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology Training Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification Proficient in English, verbal and written communications skills, and pharmaceutical calculations. Must be able to type and accurately perform computer entry Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding (sterile and non-sterile) , familiarity with Automated Dispensing Cabinet use and other IV workflow automation; and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
