Position Focus
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards through hands-on inspection, testing, and support of production processes. This role is highly operational and involves working directly on the production floor to monitor quality, identify issues, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on parts and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Work directly on the production floor to monitor quality during manufacturing operations.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations, and report findings to supervisors or quality leadership.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection and quality records using approved documentation methods.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with production teams to improve product quality and reduce defects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required:
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or quality role.
- Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Ability to work on the production floor in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive movements.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
- Experience with basic quality tools (e.g., check sheets, root cause analysis).
- Forklift certification or material-handling experience.
Compliance & Physical Requirements- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; RB America Corp does not provide sponsorship for work visas.
- Must comply with all company safety, environmental, and operational standards.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for the duration of a shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, reach, and climb ladders or stairs as required.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory, including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection as applicable.
