Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a long-term care setting. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care, promote mobility, and enhance the quality of life for residents in skilled nursing or assisted living environments.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing individualized therapy plans designed by the Physical Therapist

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility interventions

• Monitor and document patient progress toward treatment goals

• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and caregivers to coordinate care

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with facility and state guidelines

• Educate patients and families on mobility techniques and safety precautions

• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols

• Participate in team meetings, care planning sessions, and outcome reporting

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Current PTA license in the state of practice (required)

• 1 year of experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred

• CPR certification

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills

• Familiarity with EMR systems and rehab documentation standards
