Job Title: OTA/COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated OTA/COTA to join our team of rehabilitation professionals. The OTA/COTA will work directly with occupational therapists to provide therapy services to patients in order to improve their ability to perform daily tasks and activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and be able to work effectively with patients of all ages.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
- Document patient progress and communicate with therapists about treatment outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities to improve functional abilities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse patient populations
