Electronics Assembly Specialist

J-TEC is looking for a full-time Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our team!

As an Electronics Assembly Specialist, you’ll play an important role in building and testing the products our customers rely on. You’ll perform a variety of electronics assembly tasks, including circuit board assembly, wiring, soldering, and subassembly testing. You’ll work from production drawings, procedures, and established workmanship standards to ensure every product meets J-TEC’s quality expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform military- and commercial-grade hand soldering on through-hole and surface-mount circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic assemblies

• Complete electronic and mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with production drawings, procedures, and military workmanship standards

• Perform repair and rework operations as needed

• Apply paint and circuit board conformal coating using the paint booth

• Inspect your own work to ensure it meets production drawings, documented requirements, and workmanship standards

• Make product changes or modifications based on documented changes or verbal instructions

• Complete production tasks accurately and on schedule

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety and quality guidelines

• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality according to your assigned schedule

• Perform other duties as needed to support the team and production goals

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Proven experience in electronics assembly or a related field

• Experience with wiring and soldering circuit boards and electronic components

• Basic knowledge of electronic components, equipment, and circuitry

• Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and written procedures

• Ability to use basic hand tools

• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work

• Ability to see and distinguish colors and perform close-up work, including the visual demands required for soldering and detailed assembly

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods

• Ability to wear required hearing protection and a respirator while working in the paint spray booth

Preferred Experience

• Experience with high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) spray painting

• Experience applying circuit board conformal coating

Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position, typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional second-shift and/or weekend hours may be required based on production needs.
