J-TEC is looking for a full-time Electronics Assembly Specialist to join our team!
As an Electronics Assembly Specialist, you’ll play an important role in building and testing the products our customers rely on. You’ll perform a variety of electronics assembly tasks, including circuit board assembly, wiring, soldering, and subassembly testing. You’ll work from production drawings, procedures, and established workmanship standards to ensure every product meets J-TEC’s quality expectations.
What You’ll Be Doing
· Perform military- and commercial-grade hand soldering on through-hole and surface-mount circuit boards, wiring, and other electronic assemblies
· Complete electronic and mechanical assembly tasks in accordance with production drawings, procedures, and military workmanship standards
· Perform repair and rework operations as needed
· Apply paint and circuit board conformal coating using the paint booth
· Inspect your own work to ensure it meets production drawings, documented requirements, and workmanship standards
· Make product changes or modifications based on documented changes or verbal instructions
· Complete production tasks accurately and on schedule
· Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company safety and quality guidelines
· Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality according to your assigned schedule
· Perform other duties as needed to support the team and production goals
What You’ll Need
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
· Proven experience in electronics assembly or a related field
· Experience with wiring and soldering circuit boards and electronic components
· Basic knowledge of electronic components, equipment, and circuitry
· Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, and written procedures
· Ability to use basic hand tools
· Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive work
· Ability to see and distinguish colors and perform close-up work, including the visual demands required for soldering and detailed assembly
· Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods
· Ability to wear required hearing protection and a respirator while working in the paint spray booth
Preferred Experience
· Experience with high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) spray painting
· Experience applying circuit board conformal coating
Schedule
This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position, typically scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional second-shift and/or weekend hours may be required based on production needs.
