What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Deployment Strategist position at Raydar?
About the company
Our client is a Series A healthcare AI company, founded in 2024 and backed by tier-one venture investors, building the financial operating system for hospitals and health systems. Their platform connects fragmented financial data, automates the manual reporting work that consumes finance teams, and surfaces the insights that actually move margin. Customers range from multi-billion dollar health systems to small rural hospitals where every financial decision affects whether patients can get care locally. The team is roughly 40 people in New York City, combining agentic AI, healthcare operations, and enterprise software expertise, and is signing near eight-figure contracts with large provider organizations.
The role
This is the senior seat on a small deployment team (three strategists today, scaling to ten) that owns how the platform lands inside some of the largest provider organizations in the country. You will run marquee accounts end to end, sit across from CFOs, and write the playbook the rest of the team runs on.
What you'll do
- Own the full implementation lifecycle for large strategic health system accounts, from scoping and discovery through go-live and value realization
- Lead a pod of 2 to 3 junior deployment strategists and forward deployed engineers, setting priorities and keeping delivery momentum
- Manage C-suite relationships, primarily CFOs, at multi-billion dollar health systems, running executive business reviews and steering committees
- Drive consultative problem solving: discovery, solutioning, and operational change management for customers deploying AI for the first time
- Codify deployment patterns into repeatable playbooks and feed implementation learnings back into the product roadmap
- Help scale the deployment function as the team more than triples
What we're looking for
- 5 to 10 years of experience with meaningful time in healthcare consulting or AI and technology delivery to health systems, provider side specifically
- Proven executive presence and a track record independently managing C-suite or VP-level client relationships (CFO, CIO, VP Ops). This is a hard requirement
- Hands-on experience managing technical implementations, not purely strategy advisory, ideally involving AI or software delivery
- Deep, demonstrable commitment to healthcare provider organizations across your career, not a passing interest
- People management experience and the ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Bonus points
- Time at an early-stage AI or SaaS company selling into health systems, especially AI delivery work taken on after leaving consulting
- Engagement Manager level or equivalent at a healthcare-focused consulting firm, or MBB with a healthcare provider practice
- Graduate degree in healthcare administration, health policy, public health, or a healthcare MBA
- Domain depth in margin improvement, revenue cycle, workforce analytics, or health system financial operations
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $200K-$240K, with flexibility up to $250K for candidates with direct AI delivery experience at health systems
- Equity: 0.10% to 0.15%
- Full-time position
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role
Location and work model
- Union Square, New York, NY
- On-site 4 days per week
- Relocation support is available
Salary : $200,000 - $240,000
