About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve operations within a high-precision, regulated manufacturing environment. This role is focused on optimizing production processes, improving throughput, and ensuring consistent quality and safety standards.
The organization operates in a specialized manufacturing setting that requires strong attention to detail, compliance, and precision-driven production. This position will work closely with production, maintenance, and leadership teams to identify operational challenges, implement improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and improve production workflows to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize throughput
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints (TOC) methodologies to enhance operational performance
- Identify bottlenecks in production and implement effective, data-driven solutions
- Design and optimize workstations with a focus on ergonomics, safety, and operator productivity
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including process flows, layouts, and system designs
- Lead engineering projects from concept through implementation, including planning, execution, and tracking
- Support quality initiatives using tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and leadership to ensure alignment and execution
- Conduct cost and efficiency analysis, including “make vs. buy” evaluations for equipment and processes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and support OSHA-related programs including Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles
- Proven experience in process improvement, workflow optimization, and production support
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar tools for layouts and system design
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot real-time production issues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly
