Senior Construction Manager – Seattle, WAJob Title: Senior Construction ManagerLocation: Seattle, WA (Onsite)Employment Type: Full-Time | Long-Term Project (3–7 Years)A leading engineering and construction management organization is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to support major water/wastewater infrastructure programs in the Seattle metropolitan area. This role provides long-term project stability, relocation assistance, and the opportunity to lead multi-year capital projects with high visibility.Role OverviewThe Senior Construction Manager will serve as the primary onsite leader, overseeing construction cost, schedule, quality, field staff, and contractor coordination throughout all phases of large-scale water/wastewater and stormwater projects. This position requires deep technical and field experience, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to represent the owner in meetings with contractors, agencies, and stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & CoordinationServe as the day-to-day lead for field operations and construction oversight.Engage daily with designers, contractors, inspectors, owners, and permitting authorities.Lead recurring jobsite, progress, and coordination meetings.Construction OversightEnsure work aligns with approved plans, specifications, contract requirements, and schedules.Review and manage RFIs, submittals, clarifications, RFQs, change orders, work directives, field memos, and monthly pay applications.Oversee documentation control and ensure timely creation/distribution of agendas and meeting minutes.Manage sub-consultants performing field services.Contract & Financial ManagementMaintain current contract documents and all approved changes.Review and approve employee timesheets, billing drafts, project status reports, and accounting deliverables.Prepare owner-required project reports and represent the project at public meetings when needed.Team & Safety ManagementProvide active mentorship, technical guidance, and QA reviews for field staff.Enforce jobsite safety practices and monitor compliance across the field team.Qualifications10–20 years managing construction projects from planning through close-out, ideally in water, wastewater, or stormwater infrastructure.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.CCM or PMP certification is a strong plus.Experience with tools such as Procore, SharePoint, or Unifier preferred.Ability to travel to regional offices and project sites as needed.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and public agency requirements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work onsite full-time, Monday–Friday, including in field environments with limited amenities.CompensationSalary Range: $130,000 – $190,000 (based on experience, licensure, and qualifications)Bonus Eligibility: Performance-based incentivesRelocation Assistance: Provided for qualified candidatesBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid holidays & competitive PTOTuition reimbursement & professional registration supportAdditional employee programs and incentives
