Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Explain repair procedures, estimate costs using automotive estimating software, and recommend additional services through upselling techniques.
- Write detailed service orders, ensuring clear communication of work required to technicians and customers.
- Coordinate with technicians to review diagnostics, including automotive diagnostics, collision repair assessments, and mechanical troubleshooting such as transmissions, brakes, suspensions, or diesel engine repairs.
- Manage vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups efficiently while handling cash transactions accurately.
- Follow up with clients on vehicle status updates, explain video multi point inspections of the vehicle, explain repair findings, and promote additional services like oil changes, tire service, alignment, shocks & struts, air brake systems, or other maintenance needs.
- Maintain thorough records of service activities, estimates, and client interactions to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealership or automotive service environments as a Service Advisor or similar role. Ford/Lincoln experience a plus!
- Strong mechanical knowledge .
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignment, suspension work, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems, transmissions, and collision repair processes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional auto service management experiences.
- Must be able to pass drug screening and background
