Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager/Director to lead a high-impact HR function within a growing healthcare organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment and is passionate about fostering a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and leading through complex employee relations matters.
Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will oversee a team of 4 HR professionals and serve as a strategic partner to operational leaders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 4 HR staff, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
- Set clear goals and performance expectations aligned with organizational objectives
- Drive HR initiatives that support a strong, inclusive, and high-performing culture
Employee Relations & Culture
- Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee issues, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Proactively identify trends and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with executive and operational leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
- Support organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, growth, and workforce planning
- Drive best practices in HR policies, procedures, and compliance within a healthcare environment
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations
- Oversee investigations and maintain proper documentation and reporting
- Mitigate organizational risk through sound HR practices and decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 7–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management
- Experience managing and developing HR teams
- Prior experience in healthcare or highly regulated environments strongly preferred
- Deep knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
