Accounts Receivables/Collections Associate

Raven Ridge is recruiting for one of our clients looking to fill an AR/Collections position to join the accounting and finance team.

This individual will be responsible for maintaining customer accounts, ensuring timely payment activity, resolving account discrepancies, and contributing to the overall accuracy of the receivables process. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently while collaborating across multiple departments to deliver exceptional internal and external customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and proactively follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Apply incoming payments and maintain accurate account records.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash.
• Prepare customer statements and respond to account inquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with accounting and operational teams to resolve invoicing concerns and improve payment turnaround.
• Process account adjustments, credits, and approved balance corrections.
• Assist with monthly reporting, account analysis, and reconciliation activities.
• Support billing functions and provide cross-functional coverage when needed.
• Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts and customer communications.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives within the finance department.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, cash application, or a related accounting function.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy in data entry and account maintenance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone and email regarding account balances and payment status.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
