About Us:
RWC is a vibrant and supportive senior living community committed to enhancing the well-being and quality of life for our residents. We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and reliable Activity Assistant to join our Memory Care team. This role supports the planning and implementation of engaging activities designed to enhance the quality of life for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The ideal candidate is patient, creative, and passionate about serving seniors.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activities tailored to residents with memory impairment
· Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities
· Support cognitive, physical, social, and emotional engagement programs
· Help decorate and prepare materials for activities and special events
· Escort residents to and from activities as needed
· Document participation and report changes in resident behavior or condition to the appropriate staff
· Maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating environment
· Assist with community events, holiday celebrations, and family engagement activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA Preferred.
- Must have one year full-time work experience within the last five years in an activities program in an adult care setting
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and motivational skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and assist residents as needed.
