Responsibilities:
- Follows prescribed medical regimen as outlined by attending Physician.
- Provide assistance in the management of resident care on the unit assigned
- Enters chart documentation as well as provides communication within nursing staff
- Takes orders for lab work and performs necessary blood work, documents needed information accurately
- Provide direct nursing care functions appropriate to License qualifications
- Communicates with physicians appropriately, including accepting new orders, preparing for receipts, receiving physician call-backs
- Responds to emergencies according to policy
Skills for Success:
- Current License to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical with the Virginia State Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Leadership and communication skills.
