What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Mitigation Specialist Technician position at Rapid Response Restoration?
We are seeking a highly organized and empathetic Worker to oversee our water mitigation and restoration projects from start to finish. You will be the primary or secondary point of contact for our clients, guiding them through a stressful time with professionalism and compassion. You will manage our expert crews, coordinate with insurance adjusters, and ensure every project in completed in a timely manner. all the work done must be to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initial Response & Assessment: Respond promptly to new water damage claims. Inspect properties, assess the extent of damage, and define the scope of work required.
- Project Scoping & Estimating: Create detailed and accurate project estimates using Xactimate software.
- Client & Adjuster Communication: Serve as the main liaison for the property owner and the insurance adjuster. Provide regular updates, answer questions, and manage expectations clearly and professionally.
- Crew Management & Scheduling: Schedule and manage in-house technicians once you have secured the job site. Ensure crews are equipped, informed, and adhering to safety (OSHA) and IICRC standards.
- Project Execution & Quality Control: Oversee all on-site activities, including water extraction, drying, demolition, and cleaning. Monitor progress and conduct quality checks to ensure work meets our high standards.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous project documentation, including photos, daily logs, and signed authorizations. Ensure all required compliance and paperwork are completed for project close-out.
- Budget & Timeline Management: Manage subcontractors on the job site while the dryout is still in progress to ensure a timely turn around for the rebuild and timelines to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Not required but, Some experience in the water/property restoration industry.
- Ability to setup complete jobs alone while on call or on reserve call.
- Ability to equipment monitor jobs while in the field.
- Ability to work as a team in certain environments.
- We are willing to train with a minimum 1 year experience required signing a 5 year non compete contract.
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD) are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of water mitigation, drying science, and restoration processes.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency services.
