RCS is seeking a Platform Engineer (Lead (Cloud) Engineer) to deploy, configure, and manage the platform in classified environments. This role is the technical authority for ensuring secure and compliant delivery across multiple cloud service providers.

This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations to work onsite in Ft. Meade, MD. Relocation assistance may be available upon approval.

What You Will Do

• You will own technical deployment, integrating with Azure cloud environments, applying compliance policy and frameworks, and ensuring ongoing system reliability.
• Deploy and manage in Microsoft Azure or AWS classified regions.
• Build and configure the platform to align with the mission requirements across FinOps budgeting and policy, compliance management, Azure policy and role definition creation, and ongoing governance policy creation and maintenance.
• Manage upgrades, patching, and Tier 3 escalations of the underlying platform infrastructure (Kubernetes, Helm Charts, MySQL, or other containerized technologies)
• Align and secure the platform in adherence with FedRAMP, NIST, and DoD SRG compliance standards.
• Collaborate with Delivery Manager to meet mission goals and priorities.
• Collaborate with Government Authorizing Officials to obtain and maintain an active authority to operate for the platform.
• Deploys across classified cloud regions, integrates with AWS/Azure.
• Manage upgrades, patches, and Tier 3escalations.
• Ensures alignment with FedRAMP, NIST, DoD SRG.
  
  

Required Qualifications/Education

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (NSA Lifestyle CI & Full-Scope)
• 5 years of cloud engineering with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with enterprise platform deployment in secure environments.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD SRG).
• DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security CE, CASP ).
• Cloud provider certification (AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator).
