Job Description
Position Summary:
This is a very exciting opportunity! You have a ground floor opportunity as well as an opportunity to mold this role for the plant and for the company! This is a new role within the organization and a very important one. You will join a very talented corporate HR team where the opportunity in endless! We are growing and we are seeking another high performer to join our winning team.
We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to partner with the corporate HR team to build upon our multi-site animal nutrition business. You will play a vital role in managing various human resources functions, including recruiting, onboarding, engagement, retention, compliance with labor laws and many other vital areas within the HR function. You will be a versatile professional who plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s human resources functions, ensuring that both employees and the organization thrive. This role has the exciting opportunity to report directly to an executive team member; this will provide exposure to the highest levels of the organization. Ongoing opportunities for development into the HR field are abundant in this role.
Specific Responsibilities And Key Deliverables Include
Recruitment and Onboarding: You will own the recruitment process, which includes but is not limited to creating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, participating in career events, managing the hiring process with the hiring teams, and facilitating the full cycle onboarding of new employees including HRIS onboarding. Ensuring that new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
Employee Retention: Implementing strategies that foster a positive morale and work environment. Supporting retention strategies that support initiatives that keep employees motivated, committed, and loyal to the organization. Producing reports provided by our HRIS platform that analyze turnover data and trends, etc.
Employee Engagement: Participate in supporting the HR team in driving regular surveys and feedback forms.
HR Metrics and Reporting: Including the turnover metrics, you will be responsible for running headcount, new hire and absenteeism report monthly and updating a monthly reporting mechanism for the VP of Human Resources. Tracking employee engagement scores derived from regular surveys and feedback forms. Tracking Time-to-Fill and Time-to-Productivity metrics.
Employee Relations: Support the HR team as a point of contact for helping them prepare for employees related issues throughout the organization, addressing complaints, mediating conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture.
Compensation and Benefits Administration: This role will be a backup to the payroll and benefits programs, including being the backup for processing payroll and benefits administration. Support the team during open enrollment. Ensuring compliance with labor laws and conducting market research to maintain competitive compensation packages.
Policy Implementation: Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization’s goals and comply with legal requirements.
Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for employees at all levels of the organization.
Requirements
Requirements of the Role:
Experience: 1-3 Years as an HR Admin, HR Coordinator, or HR Generalist experience is required or you must be able to demonstrate through professional references that you have successfully completed HR Internship programs. This is a unique opportunity where this individual can learn under a 38-year global HR professional, but this individual must have had some exposure to Human Resources, there will be no exceptions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees and management effectively. To include strong follow-up and follow-through skills.
Problem-Solving Abilities: HR Generalists must be adept at resolving conflicts and addressing employee concerns and have the know how to escalate issues if warranted.
Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate employee records is crucial.
Other Requirements: Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Organizational and multitasking abilities to manage diverse HR functions.
Qualifications Preferred
HR certification is preferred but not required.
