We are looking for a CYME Engineer to support and maintain electrical distribution network models using the CYME application. This role involves updating system designs, troubleshooting network issues, improving data accuracy, and supporting engineering teams with electrical modeling and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain electrical network models in CYME
- Modify existing electrical designs and implement required changes
- Identify and fix data quality or configuration issues
- Support users with CYME modeling and troubleshooting
- Integrate data from systems like GIS, SCADA, and AMI into CYME
- Create documentation, workflows, and best practices
- Work closely with planners and engineering teams to ensure accurate designs
- Review electrical elements/devices to ensure proper network configuration
Required Skills
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles and power systems
- Experience with electrical schematics and network modeling
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electric distribution systems
- Experience with electrical network modeling tools (CYME preferred)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ArcGIS, SCADA, geospatial analysis, or Python
- AutoCAD or MEP background with strong electrical focus
- Knowledge of electronics design, switching, and troubleshooting
- EIT certification or PE license is a plus
- Protection & control experience is helpful but not required
