Client: Utility & Energy Company
Title: CYME Engineer
Contract Duration: 6 months, with likely extension
Location: Hybrid – South Plainfield, NJ (Onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Pay Rate: Up to $75/hour
Must Have CYME Distribution Modeling Software within the Energy or Utility Industry.
We are seeking a skilled CYME Engineer to support the maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of electrical distribution system models within the CYME platform. This role is responsible for ensuring model accuracy, supporting engineering analysis, and improving system planning, operations, and reliability through effective data management and user support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, update, and validate CYME equipment and network models
- Identify data integrity issues and implement corrective actions to improve model accuracy
- Integrate and manage data from GIS, SCADA, AMI, and other enterprise systems within CYME
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for CYME users
- Develop and maintain user documentation, workflows, and best practices related to CYME modeling
- Support engineering teams with distribution system analysis and modeling initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with CYME distribution modeling software
- Strong understanding of electric distribution systems and utility operations
- Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Python, SQL, or other scripting/programming languages is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced utility environment
Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule based out of South Plainfield, NJ, with onsite presence required Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
