Immediate opportunity for a Quality Control Analyst to perform critical quality assurance tests on intermediates and finished products, which directly influence product disposition and manufacturing processes. This fast-paced environment demands a proactive approach to meet aggressive throughput times while maintaining high-quality standards.
This is a fully onsite position in Myerstown, PA. Local candidates preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available.
What you will do:
- Perform standard qualitative and quantitative analysis on in-process products, pure drug substances, and finished pharmaceutical preparations using gravimetric and spectrophotometric procedures in accordance with approved testing protocols.
- Utilize standard bench chemistry techniques as well as advanced electronic instrumentation, including HPLC, spectrophotometer, and viscometer.
- Maintain accurate records of all analysis information on data sheets for permanent filing and ensure proper entry of information on laboratory forms.
- Evaluate data obtained from analyses; consult with Supervisor regarding discrepancies or deviations and recommend additional testing if necessary.
- Conduct routine analytical testing of in-process, finished bulk products, and stability products to ensure compliance with compendia and company standards.
- Adhere to corporate safety programs and comply with GMPs, ISO standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist in investigating non-compliance issues.
- Troubleshoot analytical methodologies and instrumentation malfunctions as needed.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field of study.
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience (beyond bachelor's degree), preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with wet analytical methods and instrumentation techniques such as HPLC, UV, GC, IR, and AA is preferred.
- Working knowledge of statistics, data processing, and good manufacturing practices.
- Strong understanding of analytical chemistry principles necessary for effective performance in this role.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying ideas, concepts, and results effectively to colleagues and supervisors.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Initiative-driven with a strong willingness to learn new techniques and methodologies.
- Proficient in advanced laboratory instrumentation and personal computer skills.
- Competencies include analytical problem-solving, alertness to detail, adherence to established policies/procedures, decisiveness, effective written communication skills, organization, and planning abilities.
