Senior Tax SME / Techno-Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Tax Domain SME and Techno-Functional Consultant to lead business consulting and functional design activities for a greenfield enterprise Tax Processing Platform being developed for a leading global consulting organization.

The role requires deep expertise in tax operations, tax computation, capital markets, custody and securities services, combined with strong consulting, business analysis, product ownership, and technology engagement capabilities.

The candidate will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, tax specialists, product owners, architects, and engineering teams, ensuring that business requirements are translated into scalable platform capabilities, workflows, rules engines, data models, and digital solutions.

• Lead business discovery, workshops, and requirements gathering with client stakeholders.
• Define target operating models, business processes, workflows, and controls.
• Translate tax regulations and business requirements into functional specifications.
• Collaborate with architects and development teams to design platform capabilities and solution components.
• Define business rules, tax calculations, exception handling, and compliance controls.
• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Drive backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and UAT activities.
• Identify automation, analytics, AI, and GenAI opportunities within tax operations.
• Provide domain guidance throughout development, testing, implementation, and rollout.
