- What is the purpose of this team?
- Describe the surrounding team (team culture, work environment, etc.) & key projects.
- Do you have any additional upcoming hiring needs or is this request part of a larger hiring initiative? The Kafka teams own three Kafka platforms across Cloud and on-prem. We have self-hosted Kafka platforms in AWS and on-prem and heavily use Confluent Cloud. Kafka teams primarily consist of Kafka administrators with Kafka admin experience. Over 140 applications at Centene use the Kafka platforms to exchange data in real-time.
A Product Owner is needed to drive backlog prioritization, translate stakeholder asks into clear user stories, own the platforms roadmap, and shield the team from the churn of ad-hoc requests so engineers can focus on delivery. The current and upcoming portfolio makes this especially urgent: Mission Simplify initiatives
Typical Day in the Role
