Mathematics Coordinator (Grades PK-12) Provides districtwide leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of PreK–12 mathematics curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Designs and facilitates professional learning for administrators, coaches, classroom teachers, and support staff to strengthen instructional practices and student outcomes. Leads the evaluation, selection, and implementation of high-quality instructional materials and assessment resources. Monitors program implementation through classroom visits, data analysis, collaboration with school and district leaders, and ongoing feedback from educators. Analyzes student achievement data to identify areas for growth and drive program improvements. Communicates the vision, goals, and progress of the mathematics department to staff, families, the School Committee, and the broader community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Leads the development and implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment in elementary, middle and high school mathematics to address local and state mandates and priorities. Leads comprehensive curriculum review processes by overseeing the evaluation and enhancement of existing programs, facilitating the selection of high-quality instructional materials, and supporting successful implementation across schools. Provides strategic leadership for the implementation of the mathematics program by monitoring and evaluating instructional practices, advising principals, coaches, and teachers, and designing and delivering professional learning for staff to ensure effective curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Plans and facilitates professional learning and districtwide meetings, new teacher orientation programs, and ongoing training to support instructional excellence while sharing current research, best practices, and emerging developments in education. Provides direct support for educators through targeted coaching and feedback in alignment with evidence-based best practices in mathematics instruction. Facilitates mathematics curriculum and common planning meetings to ensure consistent practices, effective use of HQIM, and alignment across grade levels. Collaborates with other RPS offices and departments. Collaborates as a member of the Teaching and Learning Team to develop and implement districtwide structures and protocols for common planning time, instructional practices, data analysis, and instructional coaching. Participates and supports principals in screening and interviewing mathematics staff. Coordinates and assists in analyzing data on student performance and program outcomes. Serves as primary and secondary evaluator of teachers and instructional coaches, providing instructional feedback, conducting formal and informal observations, and supporting professional growth aligned with district evaluation systems and instructional expectations. District iReady primary contact to support assessment procedures, data cycles and action plans Manages departmental budgets and grants, ensuring responsible allocation of resources, compliance with funding requirements, and alignment with district priorities to support high-quality mathematics instruction and program initiatives. Leads and participates in family and community engagement efforts, including planning, hosting, and attending public events, to strengthen partnerships, increase access to information, and support student learning in mathematics. Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools or their designee REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent WORK YEAR: 210 days; school year (180) plus contract days (30) to be scheduled

Salary : $115,000 - $118,000
