Position Summary
The Randolph County School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead its School Nutrition Program. This position oversees all aspects of food service operations and ensures compliance with federal and state guidelines while supporting student health and wellness.
This position allows flexibility for candidates who are not yet fully certified, with the expectation that certification requirements will be completed within a specified timeframe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all district school nutrition operations
- Ensure compliance with USDA and Georgia Department of Education guidelines
- Develop menus that meet nutritional standards
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, and financial reporting
- Supervise cafeteria managers and staff
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness
- Provide staff training and professional development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management, Business, Public Health, or related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in food service or institutional nutrition
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and financial management skills
