CNC Milling Operations Specialist

You load programs, validate setups, and machine parts to exact print dimensions—then refine the process to make the next cycle even better. • Transfer programs to and from the machine controller and make on-machine edits to optimize results.
• Set up and operate assigned CNC milling equipment; 5-axis experience is a plus.
• Produce components to drawing tolerances; verify quality and document results.
• Maintain tooling at the machine and manage basic inventories.
• Deburr parts and remove sharp edges appropriately.
• Tag/mark material for deposition and ensure proper scrap segregation.
• Complete inspection logs, travelers, and time slips accurately.
• Keep the work cell clean, orderly, and safe; work near moving mechanical parts with appropriate PPE.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance when directed.
• Help train new operators and contribute in team and business update meetings.
• Participate in ISO 9001 and continuous improvement activities.
• Handle materials when a designated mover is unavailable.
• Take on other duties as assigned to support production goals.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of CNC milling experience preferred; ability to edit programs on the machine.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and related metrology; CMM familiarity is a plus.
• Comfortable with basic shop math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals).

• Frequent standing and walking; occasional reaching above the shoulders.
• Lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Close and color vision required.
• Moderate to loud noise levels; safety glasses and safety shoes required; indoor setting with regular interaction with colleagues and customers.

• Full-Time 1st & 2nd Shift: 40 hours (Monday–Thursday) plus overtime when needed. 2nd shift includes a substantial shift differential.
• Part-Time 1st & 2nd Shift: Flexible hours (Monday–Thursday).
