Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Stock Purchasing Coordinator located in Metairie, LA. The Stock Purchasing Coordinator will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, creating and managing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely procurement of stock. The role involves analytical tasks to evaluate purchase requirements and maintain optimal stock levels.
*Oversee all incoming stock and new merchandise
*Log all incoming merchandise to the receiving log
*Reconcile incoming merchandise with open purchase orders
*Create new SKUs and fill out descriptions with information provided by buyers for new merchandise
*Verify merchandise follows QC standards, strong attention to detail
*Receive and tag all incoming stock merchandise
*Receive and tag all incoming merchandise for stock and special orders
*Retrieve /Take pictures of new merchandise and upload to website, update website/appraisal descriptions
*Audit and update website, checking for quality stock photos and accurate web descriptions
*Oversee all outgoing shipping; create transfers and shipping labels, pack and prepare boxes for pickup
*Update shipping rate grids for staff
*Order and organize all shipping supplies
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing Processes and Purchasing
- Experience with Purchase Orders management
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating and maintaining inventory
- Knowledge of Procurement practices
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Prior experience in the retail or jewelry industry is a plus
