What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator position at Laborde Products?
We are currently seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team in Covington, LA. You will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships, managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels and ensuring the timely delivery of materials.
Responsibilities
- Process, track, and expedite daily purchase orders, including sales orders, work orders, & stock replenishment purchase orders.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP system.
- Ensure that inventories are maintained.
- Ensure that deliveries from suppliers are timely.
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Coordinate the process of ordering and receiving between multiple locations.
- Collaborate with Parts, Production, Engineering, and Sales to maintain schedule and identify opportunities to minimize part shortages.
- May perform other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in an administrative role.
