Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, retail spaces, warehouses, and healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of commercial electrical systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems and equipment
Run and terminate conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) and pull wire
Install panels, breakers, lighting systems, transformers, and receptacles
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing equipment
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety standards
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades on job sites
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Completion of an electrician apprenticeship or equivalent experience
Valid state electrician license or certification (Journeyman preferred)
Minimum [X] years of commercial electrical experience
Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights
Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale commercial projects
Knowledge of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, data, access control)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
Ability to read and mark up construction drawings
