We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Staff member to join our property operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding the physical standards, safety, and visual appeal of our hotel. Your daily efforts in preventive maintenance, guest room repairs, and facility upkeep will ensure a comfortable, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Guest Room & Public Area Upkeep: Perform routine repairs and touch-ups, including painting, drywall patching, furniture fixing, and hardware replacements.
- HVAC & Climate Control: Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on guest room PTAC units or centralized heating and cooling systems.
- Plumbing & Electrical: Fix plumbing issues (e.g., leaky faucets, running toilets, slow drains) and address minor electrical problems like replacing light fixtures, switches, and bulbs.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled inspections of guest rooms, corridors, exterior lighting, laundry/housekeeping equipment, and public amenities to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
- Work Order Management: Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by the front desk or housekeeping teams to minimize downtime and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to life safety standards, assist with routine checks on fire safety equipment, and maintain clear walkways and parking areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous hands-on experience in general maintenance, hospitality engineering, or building trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, reading basic technical manuals or diagrams, and diagnosing mechanical or structural issues.
- Hospitality Mindset: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a discrete and professional demeanor when entering occupied guest rooms.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as hotel operations require 24/7 support.
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
