Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control throughout the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general facility upkeep.
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing repairs on plumbing systems, electrical wiring, HVAC units, and other mechanical components.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects to uphold the building’s interior aesthetics.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Lead or support maintenance operations with a focus on safety standards, quality workmanship, and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.
- Document all maintenance activities thoroughly in logs or digital systems for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of electrical work including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of schematics.
- Hands-on experience with plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems including repair, troubleshooting, and routine servicing.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Basic carpentry skills for building interior fixtures or performing repairs.
- Experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) procedures within residential or commercial settings.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
- Leadership or supervising experience is a plus; ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with customer service orientation to effectively address internal needs.
