Automotive Technician - Mercedes-Benz Entry Level

Rallye has immediate opening for Express Technicians, Tire Technicians, Quality Control Technicians and experienced technicians!

*Climate controlled shop with updated, state-of-the-art equipment!

PAY RANGE: $21 -24 Per Hour

Express Technician Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Diagnostic Technician; report to the Service Manager, Shop Foreman, and Dispatcher
• Mount, rotate, balance and change tires
• Examine the vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Service Advisor
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain parts. Follow warranty material disposition procedures
• Notify Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised
• Clearly and accurately document all work performed
• Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate
• Only perform work that is authorized by the customer or by the warranty
• Inform Service Advisor and Foreman of all work that cannot be finished by the end of the shift
  
  

Tire technician responsibilities:

• Wheel alignments
• Tire changes, rotations, and mounting
  
  

Quality Control responsibilities:

• Inspect all work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Mercedes Benz factory and Rallye Mercedes standards
• Examine and test-drive all vehicles to ensure that the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/ perform repairs are completed. Communicate all discrepancies to the Service Manager, Advisor, or technician
• Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate

Requirements

• A clean & valid New York State Driver's License
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read, and comprehend instructions and information
• Professional appearance and ability to work well with others
• NYS inspectors license
• At least 3 years MB experience
• Proficient in Netstar, Xentry & WIS
• Working knowledge of shop equipment including but not limited to wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment
