Develop, qualify, and deploy new manufacturing processes and automations that increase productivity and minimize manufacturing errors. Participate in proposal preparation and review, ensuring accurate definition of manufacturing requirements, tooling, and potential risks. Engage in Sales Order kickoffs to align with proposals and refine manufacturing plans, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy. Manage Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) within designated areas, emphasizing a culture of safety. Enhance productivity through innovative process and tooling improvements within manufacturing cells. Implement Lean practices, conducting time studies, and developing standard work documentation to streamline manufacturing flow. Oversee process design in your manufacturing cell, collaborating with Focus Factory Managers (FFMs) or Cell Leads to ensure effective process management. Work with the drafting department to design, document, and procure necessary tooling and fixtures. Contribute manufacturing expertise during design reviews to advocate for products designed for optimal manufacturability. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical discipline, with preference for Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. A minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a technical and manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace/defense industry. Ordnance experience is a beneficial addition. Strong analytical skills and a practical application of Design of Experiments. Advanced degree in an engineering field or a related technical discipline. Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
