We are looking for a Healthcare Operations Manager to join our group. The position is responsible for providing direction for operations staff and for the management of daily operations of direct reports.

On an average day, you will:
- Assures implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures for the operations staff.
- Supervises operations staff by assigning work duties, monitoring performance on a daily basis, and assuring that office procedures are followed.
- Returns patient calls in a timely manner, when appropriate.
- Enters and/or updates patient demographics, assuring accuracy and completeness.
- Processes and responds to incoming patient requests via the patient portal and website.
- Submits new patient requests to the appropriate physician(s) via EHR.
- Verifies insurance eligibility through the computer system at the time of same day appointment scheduling.
- Processes appointment cancellations in order to reschedule the patient.
- Participates in interdisciplinary customer service training.
- Develops on-boarding staff training program with Administrator.
- Monitors need for continue training of staff.
- Coordinates coverage for all positions as needed.
- Leads Informational / Educational meetings.
- Travels to/from various GI office locations.

- Medical terminology.

- Use of office equipment including phone, scanner, computer, fax machine and photocopier.
- Time management, problem solving, multitasking, organizing, and prioritizing.
- Speaking clearly and concisely in person and on the phone.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Exhibiting a professional manner in dealing with others and working to maintain constructive working relationships.
Supervisory responsibilities
- Supervises Front Office, Managed Care, Medical Records and Operator staff.
Physical requirements
- Sitting for approximately 90% percent of the day.
- Periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Fine motor skills.
- Visual acuity.
- Ability to travel freely to various clinic locations.
Required education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of medical office experience and EHR experience.
