Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and nurturing Baby Room Teacher and Young Two’s Teacher to join our early childhood education team. These roles are vital in fostering a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. The ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Responsibilities include implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's social and emotional growth to promote a positive learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes exploration, learning, and social interaction.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
- Support individual learning needs through early intervention strategies and special education practices when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development and participate in assessments or standardized testing as required.
- Ensure health, safety, and welfare of all children in compliance with licensing regulations and best practices in childcare.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop classroom activities that support childhood development goals such as Montessori or other educational philosophies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development, early intervention, literacy education, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with children across various age groups, particularly infants (baby room) and toddlers (young two’s).
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum plans that incorporate math, physical education, and preschool activities.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and teamwork within the educational setting.
- Experience working with students in daycare or private school environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies, classroom experience, lesson planning, and standardized testing procedures.
- Knowledge of special education needs related to early childhood or toddler care is advantageous.
- Certification or background in early childhood education is a plus but not required. A high school diploma or GED is required. Please have reliable transportation to get to work
