Description
Reporting to the restaurant manager on duty. This position will manage the flow of the restaurant, greet arriving guests, seat guests, and at times run food.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome guests to our restaurant.
- Answer the phone in a prompt and professional manner.
- Manage and book reservations.
- Answer any guest questions.
- Set up all reservations before the guest arrives.
- Communicate to the server they have a table and ensure the guests are greeted in a friendly and courteous fashion.
- Help guests book reservations (Online or over the phone)
- Guide the guest to their table.
- Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions they may have.
- Seat guests according to the sections assigned during service hours.
- Always maintain a clean and professional work environment.
- Assist guests with their takeout orders as needed.
- Help pre buss and buss tables.
- Check the dishes before delivery for accuracy and presentation.
- Put the finishing touches and sauces on all dishes.
- Deliver orders to maintain fast and efficient service.
- Meet and exceed all guest’s needs and requests
- Possess knowledge of all food and drink in order to answer any questions the guest may have.
- Remove any soiled dishes from the table and bring them to the dish area.
- Set up the expo line for efficient service.
- Inspect the expo line according to the quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
- Complete all side work/closing work as assigned.
- Communicate clearly to the chef on duty and wait staff.
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (ie; when a customer has a particular request).
- Directly follows the attendance policy outlined in the employee handbook.

Perform other related duties assigned by the management team.
Work as a contributing team member and always act in a professional and respectful manner .
Comply with all standard operating procedures and policies of Railside Golf Club and Restaurant.
Requirements
- Understand the health and safety rules in a restaurant.
- Well-organized
- Be able to multi-task and have excellent communication.
- Possess ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move 25-50 pounds.
- Be collaborative and able to work as a team.
- Ability to work all shifts
Salary : $14 - $16
