Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times or reservations
- Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in hospitality or hotel guest services is advantageous
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Prior restaurant experience that demonstrates teamwork, reliability, and professionalism
