Our client is a leading high-frequency trading firm, recognised globally for its role in providing liquidity and improving market efficiency across financial markets. As part of its continued growth, the firm is expanding its Delta One trading business in New York, investing heavily in talent, technology, and strategic capabilities to strengthen its position in cash equities and ETF markets.
Role Overview
This is a highly visible, commercially focused role sitting at the intersection of trading, strategy, and market structure. You'd play a key role in shaping the firm’s approach to evolving market dynamics and identifying opportunities for growth, focusing on 3 key areas:
- Market Structure & Strategic Analysis: Monitor and interpret developments across cash equities and ETF market structure, assessing their impact on trading strategies and business performance
- Business Development & External Engagement: Build relationships with exchanges, venues, and market participants while evaluating new opportunities across products and market access
- Cross-Functional Strategy Execution: Partner closely with trading, technology, and control functions to drive strategic initiatives and align commercial objectives with implementation
Qualifications
- Strong market structure knowledge within cash equities and/or ETFs is essential
- Background in cash equities or ETF markets (buy-side, sell-side, proprietary trading, exchange, or market infrastructure)
- Proven ability to translate complex market or regulatory developments into actionable insights
- Experience engaging with external stakeholders such as exchanges, venues, or regulators
- Ability to work cross-functionally with trading, technology, and control teams
- Maximum 6-month notice period / non-compete requirement
