Applied AI Engineer | New York | $200k–$250k Base Strong Upside
We are working with a very well-backed AI venture group building production-grade AI products inside established enterprise software businesses.
They’re looking for Applied AI Engineers who enjoy solving difficult real-world problems rather than building demos or experimental side projects. The work focuses on deploying AI systems into complex, highly regulated industries where reliability, scale, and product thinking matter just as much as model quality.
This role is highly hands-on and suits engineers who like owning products end-to-end — from infrastructure and backend systems through to AI workflows and customer-facing features.
What they’re looking for:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Experience building and shipping production AI systems
- Comfortable across backend, infrastructure, and modern AI tooling
- Python experience alongside cloud/Kubernetes environments
- Ability to move quickly in ambiguous, startup-style environments

Tech environment includes:
Python, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, LLM/GenAI systems, modern AI deployment infrastructure.
