Registered Nurse – Hospice
Pay Rate: $55 to $60 /Hourly
Pay Check: Weekly
Shift: Nights | Days
Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks Extension
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate end-of-life nursing care to hospice patients in an inpatient setting
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and manage symptoms effectively
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Educate patients and families on care plans and disease progression
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care (physical, emotional, spiritual)
- Support families and caregivers during critical and sensitive moments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Deliver care in alignment with hospice philosophy and patient-centered goals
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently in emotionally sensitive environments
Schedule Details:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 shifts per week
- On-call requirement: 2 shifts/month
