Medical Assistant – Outpatient Clinic (Permanent Role)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a reputable outpatient clinic. This position requires strong clinical and administrative skills, with a focus on patient care and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
***DAPIP-accredited program (Required; national certifications not accepted), Candidate must have this requirement for every locations***
Shift Details
- Day Shift: 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Occasional weekends (1 per month)
- No block scheduling
- No scheduling accommodations
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience (outpatient setting required)
- Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program (Required; national certifications not accepted)
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross only)
- High School Diploma or GED [required]
- Flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
- Strong experience with venipuncture and lab draws
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs (EKG, pulse oximetry, vision, etc.)
- Administer medications and injections (IM, ID, immunizations)
- Perform TB testing, wound care, suture removal, and ear lavage
- Assist providers with exams and procedures (including Pap smears)
- Conduct lab testing (glucose, strep, urinalysis, pregnancy tests)
- Perform specimen collection (venipuncture, urine, throat, stool, etc.)
- Manage administrative tasks (insurance verification, authorizations, phone triage, follow-ups)
