Job Overview:
The Client is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support enterprise-level database systems. The selected candidate will play a key role in database design, development, optimization, and administration across multiple platforms while ensuring compliance with organizational and state technology standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily database administration activities across DB2, SQL Server, and Oracle environments
- Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas
- Monitor and optimize database performance and tuning
- Develop and maintain database documentation and procedures
- Conduct SQL code reviews
- Support data architecture and data warehousing initiatives
- Troubleshoot and resolve enterprise-level database issues
- Assist in mentoring and training technical staff
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Data Teams
- Ensure compliance with security and data standards
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of database administration experience
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- IBM DB2
- SQL Server 2016
- Oracle 19c
- Experience with database design, schema development, and optimization
- Strong understanding of:
- Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
- Data architecture and data warehousing concepts
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in enterprise environments
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure SQL
- Experience in government or large enterprise environments
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered
