Scope of Services
The DBA team ensures that application architectures, data dictionaries, and database schemas align with departmental data standards.
The selected candidate will:
- Assist in design, development, optimization, and modification of database schemas
- Support data architecture across multiple platforms and environments
- Collaborate with teams to build scalable database solutions
- Ensure compliance with Department and AST security standards
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Equivalent work experience may be considered
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of database administration experience, including:
- IBM DB2
- SQL Server (2016 and above)
- Oracle (19c and above)
- Azure SQL (preferred)
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform daily database administration and operational activities
- Plan, design, implement, and support database structures
- Conduct performance monitoring and tuning
- Develop and maintain DBA procedures and documentation
- Perform SQL code reviews
- Mentor and train technical staff
- Support additional database/infrastructure tasks as required
