🚨 Hiring: Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) Engineer

📍 Erie, PA (Onsite)

📅 Duration: 12 Months Contract

We are seeking a skilled Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of real-time simulation environments used for validating embedded controller software in advanced power electronics systems.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain HIL systems for embedded controller validation

• Develop plant models using MATLAB/Simulink

• Integrate models with Opal-RT, Speedgoat, or dSPACE platforms

• Configure hardware interfaces, signal conditioning, and I/O mapping

• Execute and manage inverter controller software testing and validation

• Analyze test results and support debugging of control algorithms

• Ensure traceability between software requirements and test coverage

• Maintain system documentation and configuration records

🔹 Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related STEM field

• 3–5 years of HIL design and real-time simulation experience

• Strong MATLAB/Simulink expertise

• Hands-on experience with Opal-RT or similar real-time simulation platforms

• Knowledge of inverter/converter controls using IGBT, SCR, and SiC technologies

• Experience with CAN, SPI, UART, and Ethernet communication protocols

• Background in embedded software testing for power electronics applications

🔹 Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Simulink Real-Time or RT-LAB

• Knowledge of sensor and actuator emulation

• Experience in locomotive drives, industrial drives, automotive, or renewable energy systems

• Familiarity with software testing frameworks and version control tools
