β³ Duration: 12 Months (Potential Annual Renewal Through October 2030)
π Schedule: MondayβFriday, 8:00 AM β 4:30 PM CST (37.5 Hours/Week)
βοΈ In-State Travel Required (Including Travel to Nashville Central Office)
We are seeking an experienced Epidemiologist to support chronic disease prevention and population health initiatives focused on improving health outcomes in rural communities. This role will lead program evaluation efforts, conduct epidemiological analyses, and support data-driven public health decision-making.
π Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and implement comprehensive evaluation plans aligned with program goals and objectives
β’ Develop mixed-methods evaluations utilizing CDC Program Evaluation Framework and CMS objectives
β’ Create logic models, performance measures, indicators, and data collection tools
β’ Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess program implementation, outcomes, and impact
β’ Identify best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for policy, systems, and environmental (PSE) strategies
β’ Develop and maintain databases and reporting systems such as REDCap
β’ Create data visualization products including dashboards, interactive maps, reports, and infographics
β’ Utilize SAS, Tableau, ArcGIS, and similar tools for analysis and reporting
β’ Train stakeholders on reporting systems and provide technical assistance
β’ Prepare quarterly, annual, and executive-level evaluation reports
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support population health initiatives and strategic planning
β Required Qualifications:
β’ Master's Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Health Informatics, or related field
OR
β’ Master's Degree in Health Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline with at least two years of epidemiology experience
β Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience in public health, particularly in rural health settings
β’ Experience with program evaluation and population health initiatives
β’ Strong knowledge of SAS, Tableau, ArcGIS, and data management tools
β’ Experience working with large datasets
β’ Advanced data visualization and reporting skills
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
